How to update hackintosh (OSX86) from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7

how to update hackintosh?its really a panic and tedious process for newbies.here is an tutorial on how to update hack-i-ntosh (OSX86) from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7 and with this even newbies will be able to update hackintosh very easily.This guide is for Non vanila or hacked kernel & INTEL based system only. Vanilla users just update and restart and its done. You can also use this guide for updating 10.5.X versions to 10.5.7 with Combo Update remember you must have already patched your DSDT. If you are upgrading from 10.5.6 then download Delta Update.the updates can be downloaded below

Download Combo update
(729 mb)
Download osx86tools

How to Update Hackintosh (OSX86) from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7:

1.make sure that you have dsmos/appledecrypt and appleintelcpupm disabler kexts installed to the /extra.all these are available in the /extra folder and if you doesnt have download in from below

Download free appledecrypt.kext
Download free intelcpupmdisabler.kext
Apple intelcpupm disabler.kexts will be in the folder /extra

this updating process is long but will work for sure.first backup your kexts before upgrading.

Initial steps:

Open the terminal and type the commands as below

sudo –s

type password

whilesleep 1;do rm –rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext;done

now you should open 10.5.7 version update installer

Run update without restarting.
goback to terminal and press ctrl+c to end the script

now in the terminal type

nano /System/InstallAtStartup/scripts/1

now you may see a line Dont steal Mac OSX.kext and replace it with dsmos.kext if its available.

donot restart the terminal

Final steps:

now

Open osx86tools  >>> Check repair permissions >>> Set kext permissions >>> Clear extensions cache >>> Restart.

now boot your terminal using-v and check if there is any errors and if its done you have successfully updated your hackintosh.
