Iphone has this problem very often.The home button’s in iphone 3g has this problem often.It is not working sometimes or in some cases it is never working.How to solve this problem?because without home button working it is very difficult-using the apple iphone.
Reasons for Home button not working:
1.One common reason is due to blockage.There is an physical interferance to the home button so that it cannot be read and also dust getting inside the connection port of iphone can also cause problems.
To solve this try cleaning with the bristles of toothbrush and also blowing air into the port.
2.If water is inside the home button or came in contact with water somehow then it might be the problem.Keeping it in a dry place or hot sun might solve the problem.
3.Try resetting the iphone if this is the first time error occurs.switch off and then on and try if it is working and also restore factory settings.
4.Try after removing your protective iphone casing if you have it.
5.Apple store or service center:
A block or a physical problem can be solved easily but if it is a factory defect then taking your iphone to the apple store is the only way.
