How to Downgrade iphone 3G baseband from 4.26 to 2.28

First to downgrade your iphone 3g from 4.26 version to 2.28 you will have to know your bootloader version.this iphone downgrade hack works on iphone bootloader version 5.8.Stealthbravo was the one who developed two downgrade patches.it was called as stealthbravoBBdowngrade. there was two patches,one was to downgrade from 4.26 to 2.28 and the other downgrade option is from 4.26 to 4.22.so for the step by step guide on how to downgrade iphone from 4.26 to 2.28 look below and for 4.26 to 4.22 its given in the next post.with this you can easily unlock your iphonw for free and with yellowsnow 0.9.8 and also for people using sim adapter cloning to unlock the iphone os 3.0 beta,since it upgrades your baseband to 4.26 and as you know sim clones only work upto iphone version 4.24.

HOW TO DOWNGRADE IPHONE BASEBAND FROM 4.26 TO 2.28:

1.Your firmware should be 2.2.1,and should be jailbroken with also openSSH installed in your iphone.

2.now you goto cydia and launch it,(or icy) and install 3g baseband downgrade.(bigboss repo)

3.download stealthbravoBBdowngrade from this link.it is the downgrade patch.

4.now you have to copy the fls and eep file from the 4.26 folder of  downloaded BB patch into/applications/3GBBD on the iphone.select overwrite the files.

5.now run,3GBBD on the springboard and select go.wait for few minutes.

6.you will see the success screen.

7.dont click go and insted select home button and reboot your iphone.

8.now after your phone is on,goto settings/general/about and verify that you are on version 2.2.8.

9.Now run yellowsnow to unlock your iphone again.
