Dofollow and Nofollow blogs-Which is best?

There has been lot of conversations going on between webmasters to know which is best ‘a dofollow blog’ or ‘nofollow blog’.Both has some benefits and drawbacks when considering blogging.It is not easy to suddenly take a decision on which is good for a blog.Both has its own advantages when considering a website’s value,traffic and ranking.Let me list it below.Be sure to add your thoughts also as comments!!!

A DOFOLLOW BLOG:

USES OF DOFOLLOW:

• A dofollow blog has high user involvement in it.You pay back for the user by a link to his website.He helps you and you help him.
• The number of comments in your blog increases your blog value.
• Other bloggers write about your dofollow blog and also link to you which gives you more traffic.
• Friendship with other bloggers which is always useful to be friend with your co-bloggers.
• You get to learn more about blogging.
• People come back again and again to make comments.

DRAWBACKS OF DOFOLLOW:

• There is leakage of your link juice to other websites which may affect your search rankings slightly.
• Links to attack sites in your comments with dofollow will cause you to be removed from search engines.

A NOFOLLOW BLOG:

USES OF NOFOLLOW:

• No pagerank leakage from your blog to others.You are safe linking to only your blog posts.The search engines be in your blog for more content and very less doors for it to go out.
• The search rankings of a nofollow blog seems to be good.
• You get less comments,so that you dont spent too much time moderating the comments.

DRAWBACKS OF NOFOLLOW:

• Very less user involvement is found in nofollow blogs and also they dont get too many backlinks from other bloggers.Unless your content is very good or your traffic is very high you dont get comments in your blog.
• Less comments=Less blog value.
• If your blog is new you dont get any introduction in the blogosphere if you are nofollow.

So,go ahead to decide whether your blog should be dofollow or nofollow,if you choose nofollow you can change it later,but if you choose dofollow”keep your promise” and don’t go for nofollow after gaining popularity.
