Twitter.com recently added the feature to share pictures to your followers. Ability to upload photos to Twitter has broadened the use of Twitter among its lovers. This Micro blogging network which only allowed tweets upto several words now has improved and showed it is dedicated towards user engagement.

Twitter and photobucket have teamed up to provide this awesome photo sharing feature for its users. So, if you do not know how to upload an picture/image to Twitter, below is the step by step instruction on how to do it.

Twitter has not changed anything to its status update box despite of introducing new photo sharing feature.

Click inside the status update box and use the mouse to enlarge it until you see two icons on the left side. One icon is to add your location and the other icon is Camera. Move your mouse over the camera icon and you will find “add an image” tag to it.

Now click on the camera icon and you will find the upload box appearing. You can select the image that you want to upload and then click open.

After the image is uploaded, you will find a small thumbnail appearing at the left end of the twitter status message that you were about to post. It will also indicate a tip saying image will appear as a link.

You know Twitter has set a character limit of 140 for status updates. But after you upload the image your character limit will be reduced to 119. The rest of the characters are used for the image url.

Now type your Twitter status message into the text box and when you update you will find shortened url of the image.

Now when you click the link to the picture you will also see your entire Twitter tweet along with your picture you uploaded in the status page.

There was a long time request from Twitter users to allow uploading images. They even shared links of the images as a tweet and now Twitter has responded with this picture adding facility for users. You can upload pictures up to 3 Mb. If you want to delete any image that you updated as a status, you have to delete the entire tweet.

We have to also consider the buggy nature of untweeps because if you have thousands following then it will take a lot of time for the inactive twitter users to be found.So,for this you can gradually increase the dormant time period from 1 week to 30 days and then to 3 months and so it will work with any problems.

As per twitter rules you should only unfollow 100 people a day and if you go more than this limit,twitter may ban your account.So,make appropriate changes to the search period so that only 300 people are unfollowed a day.
