Last few days I’ve found my number of friends on Facebook was continuously decreasing and I had over 800 friends and it was very difficult for me to find out who left my friend list. I was very eager to know who unfriended me on Facebook to find out what might be the reason that they have removed me from their friend list. So when I was searching for that I found two options that were already advised from other bloggers. One was installing a grease monkey script for Firefox and the other was a paid service twentyfeet.com.

Since I used Google Chrome, I searched for grease monkey extension for chrome, and to my surprise I found a standalone chrome application “Facebook friend checker” which serves the purpose of finding those friends who unfriended you on Facebook. Once installed you have to set how often it should search for left your Facebook relationship.

It is only several clicks that is needed to setup this Google Chrome extension. Just click “add to chrome” on the application page and it will be installed in seconds. Then login to Facebook and click my accounts drop-down menu and select “FF Checker interval” and set the time interval that it should check for friends who unfriended you.

How to search/share youtube streaming videos,Mp3 within Facebook

It is possible to share youtube streaming videos on Facebook. Have you ever heard of any application which lets you search youtube videos inside Facebook? I never knew any of them until I found Music+ extension for Google Chrome which provides you the ability to share, view and search youtube videos inside Facebook.

Install Music+ Extension

It allows you to search for videos, MP3 and play radio from different sources in the homepage of Facebook. An icon for music note is added to your Facebook profile page next to “question” link and you can type the name of your song, album, artist and search for songs using one tab. On another tab you can search for videos from youtube and the last tab is for online radio which uses Swarm.fm search engine to find your required search. You can share songs to your facebook wall. When I tried it, the youTube feature was working perfectly and the MP3 was still experimental and there were few tracks which didn’t work.

But the major drawback of this extension is that to use it on Facebook you have to disable secure browsing https, and if you do not like to disable secure browsing, you can use it on your Google Chrome browser by selecting the music icon on the upper right.

This extension will be much better when it is being updated since this is the initial version. It will be very much useful for people who are addicted to you tube and Facebook.

Should you drop Facebook for Google plus?

As you all know Google has introduced its famous Google plus social network two weeks before. Google+ has created a bang on the internet and pushed back most of the previous social networks. But now Facebook one of the toughest competitor of Google is struggling to retain its users. The 500 million population of Facebook is decreasing day by day. But do you think Google plus is so valuable so that you leave Facebook and flat and flood towards it?

Bloggers have already started supporting Google+ because they have no other way than going behind Google’s project. Only if they go behind Google they will be able to earn a residual income. Most of the bloggers rely only on Google AdSense and Google search results for their monthly income. So if they don’t adopt to Google plus they will lose it. Google has already stated the plus one metrics will affect the search results.last year when Google started using social networks for ranking trending topics I guessed sooner or later there will be a social network released by Google but I never expected that it will affect search rankings so badly as if they are indicated at present.

I have already found a lot of people selling Google plus one service on forums and websites stating they are going to be the factors determining your search engine rankings, so as for bloggers I don’t think we have another option than promoting Google plus in our blogs.But now the question is will Facebook like still be considered as a factor for ranking trending topics.

For general social users, Google plus is only at its start-up stage and you need not flood towords it leaving your Facebook account.That being said I don’t wish to stop you if you have the desire to check out Google plus. You can even get a Google plus invitation from me by just posting a comment below.Google plus does has its advantages over Facebook. Even though it is at its start up it has developed lot of applications for entertaining its users. The topmost application developed by that Google plus team is that they have created an application for using Facebook inside Google called Google+ Facebook.It is an awesome application which allows you to use all the Facebook features inside Google plus. This has been a killer for Facebook and has lead to a great population of Facebook users moving to words Google plus.I have previously written a post on how to integrate Facebook with Google plus.

I started this article but still I am in a confusion which network will be the best when considered in a long term. So I will continue to use both Facebook and Google plus. The number one and number two of the Internet are having a hard time between them and let us expect it will cool down very soon.

When i say tutorial,do not worry,It is very easy and only few steps to follow.

You only to need to install a simple userscript for getting back old facebook chat.It is easy if you are using google chrome or mozilla firefox.

How to get back old facebook chat in Mozilla FireFox:

Install Greasemonkey firefox addon to your browser From here Greasemonkey addon.

Now after you confirm the installation of greasemonkey firefox will install it and you will need to restart firefox.

The go here and download the Enhance facebook chat userscript and click install.It is a greasemonkey script and will work only with greasemonkey enabled.

After you have successfully installed both the greasemonkey firefox script and the enhance facebook userscript now Sign out of facebook and sign in again.

You will now have your old facebook chat back.

Google chrome much more flexible than firefox and installing fb old chat is very easy in it.

How to import your facebook contacts to Google+

Google+ is slowly getting upperhand over facebook even when it is running in the invitation only mode.A lot of people have already started using both facebook and google+.But in case you need all your contacts of your facebook account to be imported to Google+ then this tutorial will helpful for you.Facebook actually blocks exporting contacts from them,The reason though,not revealed,we have found another indirect method of importing facebook contacts to google+.

Steps to Import Facebook friends to Google Plus:

1.Create an yahoo email address if you don’t have already.Login to the yahoo email account and click on the “contacts” tab in it.You will have options to import from gmail,facebook and hotmail.

2.Click on the facebook icon and start importing all your facebook contacts into yahoo mail.Once you have finished now go to google+.

3.From google+ “circle” tab,import all your yahoo contacts.Now all your facebook contacts will be accessible through google+ and you can add them to your circles.
